In retail and showroom environments, lighting is not merely an accessory—it is the medium through which materials, textures, and forms are revealed. In spaces dedicated to home finish selections, lighting becomes even more critical; it must render colours faithfully, define architectural volumes, and support a calm, focused environment where clients can evaluate the details that will ultimately shape their homes.
The new Studio E showroom is designed to support the home finish selection experience of Estridge Homes' clients. The various spaces feature a clean, restrained aesthetic, allowing visitors to concentrate on cabinetry, tiling, colour matching, and other material choices. In collaboration with the Estridge Homes team, ESL Spectrum selected Portal and Lines luminaires to reinforce this clarity while elevating overall visual performance.

Installed in custom patterns and configurations, the Lines Suspended linear luminaires introduce a strong graphic presence against the white ceiling with their black powdercoat finish. Minimalist and miniscule at only 3 in high and less than a finger-width wide, Lines delivers design flexibility, enabling to form a cohesive expression using 2 ft, 3 ft, 4 ft, 6 ft and 8 ft sections with multi-way pivoting intersections. The luminaire's precise optical extraction shapes high-performance distributions—exceeding 140 lm/W—while the 35 Up | 65 Down distribution provides an even lighting distribution and visual comfort.
The versatile Portal family meets the varied demands of the showroom's spaces while maintaining a cohesive visual language throughout. The 9" Portal Pendant luminaires deliver a balanced 50 Up | 50 Down distribution, specified in both black and white finishes to align with each room's architectural expression. Smaller field-adjustable 5.5" Portal Surface luminaires illuminate vertical display walls with precision, while the 5.5" Portal Pendant fixtures along the corridors provide a 20 Up | 80 Down distribution ideal for bright, welcoming circulation paths.
With their ultra-narrow 0.71 in optical aesthetic, the Portal and Lines families together offer a comprehensive, aesthetically aligned Fluxwerx collection that delivers a unified lighting strategy—enhancing visual clarity, supporting the design-selection process, and strengthening the architectural identity of Studio E.
